It’s probably not too early to announce that my short story, Fruiting, will appear in the February 2021 anthology Twilight Tales.
Fruiting tells story about a young woman working to put the pieces together after an accident on the family farm has rendered her nearly immobile. The answers she finds spell drastic changes not just to her relationship with her family, but to the future of food, and possibly life itself. This single-location story touches on transhumanism and famine, but of course remains strongly character driven.
I can’t wait for people to read this little one-off—which happens to be my first appearance in an anthology (although, by 2021, who knows). Also, it’s quite a thrill to see my name listed next to the likes of Dan Wells, et al. I’m looking forward to reading the other entries.
